Bachelor Thesis Defense 2011

Pada bulan July dan Agustus 2011 ini alhamdulillah, beberapa mahasiswa yang saya bimbing tugas akhirnya maju untuk sidang di jurusan masing-masing. Project yang mereka kerjakan adalah bagian dari project penelitian yang dikerjakan di BPPT, yaitu Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), Indonesian Automated Document Reader dan Computer Aided Diagnosis for Malaria status identification from microscopic images. Dari studi ini telah dipublikasikan: 4 paper di International Conference, 1 presentasi di forum ASEAN di Kamboja, 2 penelitian diliput oleh media massa. Saat ini walaupun sudah menyelesaikan sidang sarjana, mereka masih mempersiapkan -setidaknya- 3 paper untuk dikirim ke international conference dan 2 paper untuk dikirim ke international journal. Salah satu siswa akan segera berangkat ke Belgia untuk melanjutkan studi S2 atas beasiswa Erasmus Mundus.  Suatu prestasi luar biasa yang diukir  anak-anakku yang tercinta.  Semoga ilmu yang kalian peroleh barokah dan bermanfaat bagi umat manusia. Masih ada harapan untuk hari esok Indonesia.

My name is Anto Satriyo Nugroho. I am working as research scientist at Center for Information & Communication Technology, Agency for the Assessment & Application of Technology (PTIK-BPPT : Pusat Teknologi Informasi & Komunikasi, Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi). I obtained my doctoral degree (Dr.Eng) from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan in 2003. My office is located in Serpong, Tangerang Selatan City.
